Crescent Point is currently seeking to fill the following position:

Job Title:  Supervisor, Rail
Location:  Shaunavon, Saskatchewan
Reports to:  Production Foreman

The following will provide you with basic guidelines as to the duties required of this position.

Purpose:

The Supervisor, Rail will be responsible for maintaining the work site to high Health, Safety & Environment standards in a cost effective manner and may be required to operate any combination of oil and gas wells or battery/gas compression facilities as well as all functions of the Rail Loading Facility. The candidate should reside in Shaunavon area due to the location of the role and flexible hours that are
required.

Main Responsibilities & Activities:

  • Monitor rail transloader operation and bill of lading (BOL) creation
  • Maintain spreadsheets and uploads and monitor production and measurement equipment
  • Communicate and prioritize field operation, rail loading and trucking requirements
  • Determine and communicate operational problems to support personnel
  • Maintain oil shipment records and downtime tracking reports
  • Participate and lead in monthly safety meetings
  • Maintain and confirm spreadsheet, BOL’s volumes and Field View entries and uploads on a daily basis
  • Assist in the recruitment and performance management as well as coordination of required training for all Crescent Point employees and contract workers on the Rail Site
  • Monitor and audit rail car inspection reports and follow up on any omissions or errors

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Post secondary education would be an asset; High School diploma is required
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience is required
  • Previous oilfield and/or trucking experience would be an asset
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must have complete working knowledge of corporate safety and environmental rules, procedures, and policies
  • Must have excellent decision making capabilities and the ability to exercise good judgment
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Railway experience would be an asset
  • Strong communication, organizational and team skills are required
  • Safety training would be an asset
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work on elevated surfaces
  • Team player who enjoys learning and contributing to team goals
