Crescent Point is currently seeking to fill the following position:

Job Title:  Human Resources Representative
Term: 12 month full-time contract position
Location: Calgary, Alberta
Reports to:  Team Lead, People Relations

The following will provide you with basic guidelines as to the duties required of this position.

Purpose:

The HR Representative will be responsible for assisting in all human resources activities including: performance management, disability management, training and development, immigration matters, benefits and policy interpretation for the business. The successful candidate will have a focus on offering high quality service and being a trusted partner to the business. This position deals with highly confidential material and therefore requires an individual who can deal with this in the utmost professional manner.

Main Responsibilities & Activities:

  • Participate in effectively communicating HR updates, internal training initiatives, information sessions and executive and management retreats including organizing events as required
  • Maintain Employee Handbook and coordinate corporate orientation requirements for new employees
  • Assist with disability management
  • Coordinate immigration requirements including drafting business traveler letters
  • Maintain HR section of corporate intranet
  • Coordinate annual driver abstract review
  • Support employee group by responding to inquiries regarding policies, benefits, training, etc.
  • Assist in managing employee change events as it relates to workforce planning (transfers, promotions, leaves, terminations, etc.)
  • Support HRIS implementation as needed
  • Coordinate team efforts on monthly executive reporting
  • Research various HR topics and industry trends as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources is required; CHRP designation is considered an asset
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Human Resources is required
  • Oil and gas industry experience is considered an asset
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment is required
  • Working knowledge with HRIS would be an asset
  • Enthusiastic individual with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Must be analytical, strategic and thoughtful with an ability to make recommendations and influence outcomes
  • Must demonstrate ability to build strong partnerships with all levels of employees and business relationships through intuitive business insight and personal credibility
  • Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Team player who enjoys learning and contributing to team goals
