Crescent Point is currently seeking to fill the following position:

Job Title: Payroll Clerk 
Term: 6 month full-time temporary position
 Calgary, Alberta
Reports to:  Payroll & Benefits Coordinator

The following will provide you with basic guidelines as to the duties required of this position.


The Payroll Clerk will be responsible to assist with all aspects of payroll. This position deals with highly
confidential material and therefore requires an individual who can deal with this in the utmost professional manner.

Main Responsibilities & Activities:

  • Assist with preparation of semi-monthly payroll
  • Add new employees to Ceridian Insync Database
  • Assist with payroll reporting including payroll journal entries, T4 spreadsheet, etc.
  • Assist with administration of employee benefits
  • Responsible for payroll filing
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Post secondary education is required
  • PCP Designation (or working toward) is required
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant payroll experience is required
  • Working knowledge of Ceridian Insync is strongly desired
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles is required
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required
  • Enthusiastic individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Team player who enjoys learning and contributing to team goals
