Job Title:  Regulatory Coordinator – Facilities Engineering & Construction
Location:  Calgary, Alberta
Reports to:  Supervisor, Asset Integrity

The following will provide you with basic guidelines as to the duties required of this position.

Purpose:

This Calgary based role is responsible for managing the regulatory applications and approvals process
for Crescent Point’s facilities/pipeline projects. The Regulatory Coordinator will assist in the timely
submission of regulatory applications and acquisition of regulatory approvals, and provide overall support to the Facilities & Construction Team in all regulatory matters.

Main Responsibilities & Activities:

  • Prepare and submit regulatory permit and license applications for facilities/pipelines within
    Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba
  • Coordinate information from Facilities Team members to support the preparation of integrated
    applications for filing with regulators
  • Co-ordinate regulatory efforts on large facility/pipeline projects
  • Advises best regulatory practices and demonstrates a strong confidence in speaking with external
    stakeholders
  • Manage the Pipeline License Amendment process including pipeline license reviews
  • Maintain and communicate awareness of changing legislation/standards and ensuring
    compliance
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies during the facilities/pipeline application review process to track
    progress of their review, and to address any issues and questions that arise
  • Provide comprehensive interpretations to the Facilities/Development Teams on current regulatory
    requirements
  • Ensure that compliance efforts are consistent with current regulations
  • Provide recommendations regarding the development of regulations

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Relevant post secondary education is required
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of technical/regulatory experience in the oil and gas industry; field
    experience is considered an asset
  • Must possess a strong understanding of the regulatory requirements of oil and gas operations
    with a working knowledge of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba regulations
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required
  • Flexibility to travel to various field sites is required
  • Team player who enjoys learning and contributing to team goals
