Crescent Point is currently seeking to fill the following position:

Job Title:  Surface Land Coordinator
Location:  Calgary, Alberta
Reports to:  Manager, Surface Land

The following will provide you with basic guidelines as to the duties required of this position.


The Surface Land Coordinator will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships
with stakeholders and providing high quality services in relation to on-going agreement requirements
related to Surface Land.

Main Responsibilities & Activities:

  • Work directly with the team to meet objectives and project timelines
  • Coordinate information and work flow of the surface acquisition process
  • Work closely with surveyors, environmental, construction, and operations
  • Report project status updates at operations meetings
  • Audit, process and prepare land packages for licensing and construction
  • Respond to requests and queries from landowners, service companies and government or
    regulatory agencies
  • Ensure timely input and integrity of land data in all databases and electronic systems
  • Maintain all documents related to surface leases, registrations and monthly obligations
  • Ensure ongoing contractual obligations are met
  • Participate in the development of standardized business procedures and process improvement
  • Some field work is required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 10 to 15 years of surface land related experienced is required
  • A Petroleum Land Administration Certificate would be an asset
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment is required
  • Strong analytical and decision making skills with attention to detail are required
  • Knowledge of crown and freehold surface rights
  • Experience in Saskatchewan with knowledge of PFRA would be an asset
  • Knowledge of ASRD’s EAP process and ERCB’s D56 requirements
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Accumap, QBLM/QByte
    and CS Explorer are required
  • Team player who enjoys learning and contributing to team goals
