Crescent Point is currently seeking to fill the following position:

Job Title:  Surface Land Administrator
Location:  Calgary, Alberta
Reports to:  Supervisor, Surface Land

The following will provide you with basic guidelines as to the duties required of this position.


The Surface Land Administrator is responsible for searching legal lands, writing regulatory project
information letters and reviewing and understanding survey plans. In addition, the candidate will prepare
legal documents, obtain third party agreements and communicate with clients, surveyors, engineers and
other land personnel.

Main Responsibilities & Activities:

  •  Administer new applications and ensure Landowners/Crown is paid promptly
  • Work closely with area coordinators
  • Set up new surface/easement files and input information into the land system
  • Audit land packages and generate field packages for drilling and facility projects
  • Work with drilling and pipeline facilities to ensure surface access timing
  • Handle all third party agreements
  • Maintain interaction with brokers, internal departments, landowners, industry, etc
  • Monitor obligations and compliance requirements pertaining to land documentation
  • Various other duties as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Diploma in Surface Land Administration, Business or a similar related field is required
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in Surface Land and a working knowledge of land systems (e.g.
    QBLM) is required
  • Must have a high level of integrity in dealing with confidential documents
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills who enjoys working in a
    challenging, fast paced environment
  • Must possess expertise with regards to Directive 56 regulations and requirements
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in CS Explorer & Microsoft Office applications
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail is required
  • Team player who enjoys learning and contributing to team goals
