Crescent Point is currently seeking to fill the following position:

Job Title:  Junior Compensation Representative
Location: Calgary, Alberta
Reports to:  Manager, Human Resources

The following will provide you with basic guidelines as to the duties required of this position.

Purpose:

The Junior Compensation Representative will be directly involved with compensation initiatives in the organization. Working with the Compensation team, this position will assist with many facets of compensation and support general Human Resources initiatives when needed. This position deals with highly confidential material and therefore requires an individual who can deal with this in the utmost professional manner.

Main Responsibilities & Activities:

  • Update the compensation worksheets with new hire information, maternity leaves, promotions, Capitalized percentage, accurate Mercer codes and organization chart changes
  • Draft offer recommendations and present offers to potential candidates
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports to financial accounting
  • Perform data entry for market compensation surveys
  • Prepare, distribute and track restricted share grant agreements
  • Support employee group by responding to employee inquiries about vests, dividends, tax rates, etc.
  • Responsible for various administrative functions with compensation initiatives
  • Assist with year-end compensation review as required
  • Assist with various projects as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources is required
  • Experience with stock-based compensation system is required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resources is required, ideally in compensation
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment is required
  • Experience in an accounting role would be an asset
  • Enthusiastic individual with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Team player who enjoys learning and contributing to team goals
