FOCUS AREAS

We believe our mix of assets – large oil-in-place conventional plays, large low-risk resource plays, early-stage development plays and high-impact exploration – is a solid foundation for continued growth and results.

Viewfield Bakken

The Viewfield Bakken light oil pool in Saskatchewan is our largest and longest producing resource play. We own a significant portion of this high-return oil pool, which contributes a significant portion of our free cash flow. Our Viewfield waterflood development program continues to enhance recovery factors and moderate decline rates.

Shaunavon

Our Shaunavon resource play is located in southwest Saskatchewan.  We own a significant portion of this oil pool, which provides low-risk growth and free cash flow.  Our Shaunavon waterflood and enhanced oil recovery programs are expected to provide additional benefits over the long-term.

Flat Lake

Our Flat Lake play is a multi-zone resource play located in southeast Saskatchewan and is an extension of the Three Forks play in North Dakota. Based on our success in similar resource pools, we have successfully grown this high-return light oil pool by more than 100 percent since 2012. This play continues to provide significant long-term growth with an increasing free cash flow profile. Waterflood development programs are being applied within certain zones in the resource play.

Duvernay

After monitoring the East Shale Duvernay resource play for a number of years, we significantly increased our land position in 2017. We targeted high-quality lands within the oil window based on thickness, depth and pressure.  This resource play, which is located in Alberta, is also in close proximity to established infrastructure. Initial horizontal well results to date, including those by industry, highlight the potential for significant long-term economic growth.

Uinta Basin

In late 2012, we established a significant position in the Uinta Basin, a large, stacked multi-zone, light oil resource play located in Utah. Subsequent to our initial entry, we increased our geological knowledge of the basin and developed detailed petro-physical models, which allowed us to evolve our drilling program from vertical to horizontal wells. This emerging growth play continues to demonstrate strong well results with significant productive capacity. This play continues to advance through down-spacing, pad development and new zone development.
