Recruitment Scams

Crescent Point Energy Corp. (Crescent Point) has recently been made aware of individuals, unaffiliated with Crescent Point, who have been sending out fake offers of employment in an apparent attempt to defraud would-be candidates. It appears as though fraudulent offer letters are being sent via email and through social media sites by unauthorized persons falsely using Crescent Point’s name and logo in an effort to solicit fees from prospective candidates. These emails, offer letters and communications often appear legitimate. Prospective candidates are then instructed by fraudsters to pay them fees for immigration and visa application/processing.

PLEASE BE ADVISED – These offers are fraudulent and do not come from Crescent Point. Crescent Point will NEVER request payment or seek fees from candidates under any circumstance during the recruitment or onboarding processes. All official correspondence will only ever come from an email address that ends in  If a job offer from Crescent Point is unexpected and you have not gone through a formal interview process with Crescent Point, then it is more than likely a fraudulent offer.

Crescent Point highly recommends that you do not respond to unsolicited business deals and/or offers from people with whom you are unfamiliar. Crescent Point does not make unsolicited job offers to any prospective candidate(s).  If you are unsure about an email or offer letter from a person or entity claiming to be Crescent Point, please contact us
